How is my Personal Information handled?

Personal Information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The Service Agreement (the contract) requires Microsoft to comply to Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • Microsoft may occasionally contract with other companies to provide services on Microsoft's behalf, and that such companies may have access to Customer Information where required to perform the services. Such companies are required to maintain confidentiality of the Customer Information and are prohibted from using it for any purpose other than that for which they are engaged by Microsoft. The Microsoft Office 365 Trust Centre states that the subcontractors are used to perform a variety of support services. In the interest of transparency, Microsoft let customers know which subcontractors they use and what they do.
